Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Reed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rowen Fire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rowen Fire looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rowen Fire!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Frank Dennis and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fire shoots in and bounces Reed off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Fire trying to stand up but can't free himself from Reed's guard.
Fire is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Fire wants to get up but he can't break Reed's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Reed might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Rowen Fire hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Fire shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Reed manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Fire got a little sloppy there for a moment and Reed has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Fire has managed to get both his arms back between Reed's legs - danger averted.

and Fire counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Fire wants to take a breather but Reed is having none of it.
Reed is looking for a sweep. Fire is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Fire tries to stand but can't do so whilst Reed controls his leg.

Fire passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Reed!

Fire misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Fire lands a big shot there that rocks Reed but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Reed is looking to improve his position but Fire isn't that keen on the idea.

Reed is desperately trying to improve his position but Fire has a good base and remains in mount.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Reed tries to hold on but Fire postures up.

Fire is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Reed to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Reed shrugs it off.

Fire is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Reed is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Reed flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Fire anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Reed and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Fire slips an arm under Reed chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Fire has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Fire is squeezing on Reed like an anaconda would it's prey. Reed fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Rowen Fire!
