Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Liveser Rubino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Liveser Rubino!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Alex King!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Fedor Mirinova and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rubino scores with a jab to the jaw.
Rubino displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from King.

Rubino throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Rubino connects with a leg kick. King looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
King shoots for a takedown but Rubino saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
King shoots in for a takedown but Rubino shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Liveser Rubino has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alex King.
Rubino lands a leg kick that knocks King off balance momentarily.
King takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Rubino misses with a jab, cross combination.
King goes for a double leg but Rubino avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Rubino continues to drive forward.

King gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
King is taking a breather. Rubino says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
King stops Rubino from getting back to his feet.

Rubino knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for King on the ground.

Alex King has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Rubino pivots, looking for a leg kick but King is out of range and Rubino settles back down.
Rubino slaps away a takedown attempt from King, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Rubino dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on King. That did some damage!

King closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Rubino's guard.

King avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
King controlling from the top position.

Rubino has an active guard here but King has managed to pass into half guard.

Still in half guard, King seems content to control.
Let's hope that King has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Rubino on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Rubino tries to get out of the position.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Alex King hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Rubino lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

King scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
King has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Rubino is trying to stand but he's just given King his back.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


King looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

The fighters circle momentarily. Rubino darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Rubino walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. King checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
King has a takedown stuffed.
Liveser Rubino has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alex King.
King on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Rubino throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Rubino misses with a wild combination.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from King is defended easily by Rubino.
King tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
King shoots in but Rubino avoids the takedown attempt easily.
King shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rubino sprawls well. Rubino wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. King gets slowly back to his feet.
Rubino lands with a thumping leg kick.
Liveser Rubino is winning the standup battle so far.

A jab lands there for Rubino.
King shoots for a takedown but Rubino saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
King shoots in but no luck this time.
King is breathing heavily.
A chopping leg kick lands by Rubino.
A good leg kick by Rubino.
King on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
King shoots in for a takedown but Rubino shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Liveser Rubino is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Rubino keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Rubino lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Rubino connects with a leg kick. King looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Rubino looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
King gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Rubino takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Good leg kick by Rubino there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Rubino lands a jab-cross combination.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Rubino, right into the meat.
Rubino fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and King has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

King shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Rubino defends it nicely.
Rubino lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Rubino throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck King on the side of the head.
Rubino cracks King with an open hand slap.
King looks for a takedown but Rubino sprawls well.
King stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Rubino.
Rubino connects with a jab.
Rubino misses with a jab, cross combination.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Rubino throws out a powerful jab.
King dives in for a single leg takedown but Rubino sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
King keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Rubino's efforts to push away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Liveser Rubino dominated that second round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


King takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Rubino turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
King looks for a takedown but Rubino sprawls well.

King is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Rubino's half guard.
Rubino wants to get back to his feet.
Rubino is in trouble now - King has advanced to mount!

Rubino is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. King locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Rubino is forced to tap!
