The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bariga just misses with a punch to the body.
Buhay attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Buhay will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
We've been told by Bariga's head coaches at Team Hopkins that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Buhay lands with a good body shot.
Buhay shoots in looking for a takedown. Bariga tries to sprawl out of it but Buhay keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bariga manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Bagong Buhay seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Buhay shoots in for a double leg but Bariga sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Bariga checks a leg kick.
Buhay dives in and grabs Bariga's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bariga pushes down on Buhay's head and hops out.
Bariga lands with a right that hurts Buhay. Buhay looks to clinch but Bariga throws a short knee that drops Buhay. This one is all over!

Mark Bariga spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
