Kota is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Airplanes - B.o.B ft Hayley Williams. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Johanna Lukiainen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcmillan shoots in for a double leg but Kota sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Mcmillan looks for a takedown but Kota sprawls well.

Kota fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Mcmillan sprawls well initially but Kota persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Kota wants to work for an arm triangle but Mcmillan is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Kota wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mcmillan keeps working.
Mcmillan is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Kota scores with a couple of nice shots.

Kota is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Mcmillan is just riding it out for now. Kota eventually gives up the hold.

Kota looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Mcmillan is looking to control Kota's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Mcmillan avoid being mounted?

Kota jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Mcmillan manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Kota has control of Mcmillan's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Mcmillan regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Mcmillan really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Kota thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Kota slips nicely into half guard.

Mcmillan wants to get back to his feet.

Mcmillan moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Mcmillan utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Kota trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Kota drops back looking for a leg! Mcmillan is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Mcmillan manages to kick Kota off! Kota jumps back into Mcmillan's guard.
Kota wants to control from the top but Mcmillan keeps moving.
Mcmillan is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kota is controlling him.

Kota is pushing down on Mcmillan's leg trying to pass to half guard. Mcmillan is fighting to maintain full guard but Kota has managed to sneak the leg through.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mcmillan wants to hold on but Kota pushes him away.
Oh Mcmillan is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Mcmillan defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Kota.
Mcmillan seems to have got his legs back now.
Mcmillan takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Kota's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.

After winning the bout, Charles Kota thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
