Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Clark Dickson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rob Klien (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rob Klien has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Clark Dickson's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Clark Dickson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rob Klien!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Kenichi Hosakawa and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Klien closes the distance and clinches.
Dickson tries to break the clinch but Klien is controlling the position.
Klien blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Klien manages to break the clinch.
Klien throws a head kick but Dickson moves out of range.

Dickson closes the distance and pushes Klien back into the cage.
Klien jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Dickson walks away with a smile on his face. Klien gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Dickson shoots in looking for a takedown. Klien tries to sprawl out of it but Dickson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Klien manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Klien throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Klien moves into the clinch.
Dickson is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Klien is defending well.

Klien manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Dickson throws a big elbow that misses.
Klien wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Dickson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dickson wants to control but Klien is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Dickson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Dickson has hold of Klien's hands but Klien slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Klien lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Dickson is not content to let Klien control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Clark Dickson will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Dickson gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Klien to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Klien escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dickson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Dickson lands a couple of digs.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Dickson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Klien wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Dickson throws an elbow that misses. Klien uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Dickson's guard. Nice move by Klien!

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Rob Klien showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Dickson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Klien manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Dickson has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Klien after a bit of a struggle.

Klien on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Dickson tries to pull guard but Klien holds him up against the cage and eventually Dickson drops back down to his feet.
Klien manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Klien's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Klien swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Oooooh!!! Klien has knocked Dickson down with a huge combo! Klien steps away and waves a wobbly Dickson back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Klien shoots and scores a devastating slam takedown! Dickson is unconscious as Klien celebrates over his stricken foe!
