PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Boris BigOnes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pavel Nastul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pavel Nastul told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nastul scores with a jab to the jaw.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from BigOnes.
A left lands for Nastul.
BigOnes gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Pavel Nastul seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
BigOnes shoots in for a double leg but Nastul sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Nastul manages to get an easy takedown there - catching BigOnes on his heels. He'll look to pass BigOnes's guard now, I'm sure.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Nastul drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Nastul jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Nastul accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Nastul feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Well Nastul has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
