And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Conor Bannan!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Paul Gruel and Micheangelo Fripello.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bannan closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Padilla's guard.
Bannan wants to get up but he can't break Padilla's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Padilla avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Bannan controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Padilla knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bannan on the ground.

Conor Bannan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Padilla's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!



Bannan closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Bannan lands in his opponent's guard.
Bannan slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Bannan throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Padilla works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
Bannan is taking a breather. Padilla says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Well Bannan has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
