Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sven Fenson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nelson Pervis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sven Fenson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nelson Pervis!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Robert Twigg and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fenson has taken the fight to the clinch.

Fenson decides to pull guard.
Pervis trying to control the position from guard on top but Fenson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Fenson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pervis on the ground.
Connects with an elbow from the bottom, proving to the judges that he's still active off his back.
Pervis wants to pass the guard but Fenson is keeping the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fenson seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Pervis has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Fenson postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Pervis looks a forlorn figure.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Fenson in particular looking to stall.

and Fenson counters with a series of strikes. Pervis will be more careful next time no doubt.

and Fenson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Fenson darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Fenson scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Fenson has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Fenson goes for an armbar but Pervis turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Pervis.

Fenson keeping moving, preventing Pervis from controlling successfully.
Pervis looking to sit in guard and control but Fenson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Pervis working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Fenson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Fenson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Fenson is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Pervis is surviving well by controlling Fenson's body position as best he can.
Pervis reaches up to try and control the position but Fenson seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Pervis rolls and tries to escape and now Fenson has his back!
Fenson really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Pervis.
Fenson has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Pervis takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Fenson clinches up with Pervis and pushes him back against the cage.
A nice left hand lands by Fenson.

Fenson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Pervis lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Fenson circles away quickly and effectively.
Pervis misses with a jab, cross combination.

Fenson darts in and clinches Pervis up against the cage.
Fenson prevents the takedown attempt.

Fenson closes the distance and clinches.
Pervis has Fenson pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Fenson manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Fenson gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Pervis works his way to full guard. Good work.
Pervis manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Pervis takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Fenson avoids a series of strikes thrown by Pervis.
Pervis tries to control but Fenson wriggling away.

Pervis goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Fenson turns into him and now he's in Pervis's guard.
Fenson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Fenson goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Pervis has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Fenson but great work by Pervis.

Nelson Pervis has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Sven Fenson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Fenson tries to bench press Pervis off him but Pervis keeps the position.

Sven Fenson showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Fenson has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
