Melo comes to the cage accompanied by Fort Minor - Remember the name. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Melo throws a half hearted mid kick.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Melo lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Blade has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Blade and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Blade throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.

Melo sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Blade feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Melos jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Blade is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Melo had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Melo closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Felipe Melo's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
