Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Peter Jacobs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Schilling (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Schilling comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Roy Jones - Can't be touched kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Peter Jacobs has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Peter Jacobs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Joe Schilling!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, John Kavanagh and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jacobs ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Schilling moves away.
Jacobs jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Jacobs fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Schilling on the side of the head.

Jacobs leaves Schilling with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Schilling misses with a hook. Jacobs ducked under it nicely.
Schilling uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Jacobs.

Schilling's coach down at Valhalla Training Grounds was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Schilling's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Jacobs got a little sloppy there for a moment and Schilling has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jacobs has managed to get both his arms back between Schilling's legs - danger averted.
Schilling wants to sweep but no luck.

Schilling working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jacobs doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jacobs manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Schilling had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Jacobs defends it easily.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

That was a close round but I would say that Peter Jacobs will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Jacobs throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Schilling sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Schilling manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jacobs manages to get himself to full guard.
