Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Merlin Kane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nikola Jelenek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Nikola Jelenek!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Ren Mimura and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Jelenek is trying to maintain a safe position but Kane gets an underhook and turns Jelenek into the cage.
Jelenek drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Kane gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Jelenek is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Kane is keeping busy.
Kane stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Jelenek breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Jelenek gets tackled into the cage by Kane. Kane maintains the clinch.

That was a close round but I would say that Merlin Kane will probably get the nod.
That's time! Kane's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Kane takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Kane got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jelenek has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kane has managed to get both his arms back between Jelenek's legs - danger averted.
Kane is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Kane would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Kane is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kane tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Jelenek manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Jelenek has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Kane uses from the top position.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Merlin Kane.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Merlin Kane.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kane, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
