PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jared Donisvitch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Qing Fu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fu is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: King Drum. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jared Donisvitch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Qing Fu!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Micheangelo Fripello and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fu lands a jab to the head.
Donisvitch takes one to the side of the head.
Donisvitch misses with a head kick.
Donisvitch is looking to clinch but Fu is avoiding it.
Fu listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
A lazy left from Fu finds it's target.
Fu blocks a low kick nicely.

Donisvitch shoots in and bounces Fu off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Donisvitch is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Donisvitch's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Donisvitch has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Fu is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Fu holds on and takes a little breather.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fu looking for a sweep. Not yet Fu, not yet.
Donisvitch trying to control the position from guard on top but Fu is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Fu is on top in guard.
Fu looking to pass the guard.
Donisvitch is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Fu dives into side control.
Donisvitch can't do much from the bottom here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fu trying to control the action but Donisvitch is working from the bottom.
Fu advances nicely into full mount.
Fu wants to control the pace but Donisvitch is squirming around nicely.
Fu takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Donisvitch is looking to get to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Fu looking for a guillotine from mount but Donisvitch is having none of it.
Fu sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Donisvitch is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Fu avoids the attempt from Donisvitch to control.

Fu jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Donisvitch is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Donisvitch and Fu has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Fu advances to full mount.
Fu has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Facebreaker Academy : Striking. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
Donisvitch wants to try and get back to his feet.
Donisvitch is trying to escape the mount but Fu keeps good control and instead manages to take Donisvitch's back.
Donisvitch rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Fu blocks the strikes from Donisvitch.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Donisvitch wants to control but Fu is keeping busy.
Donisvitch is looking to improve his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Qing Fu dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Fu throws a hook but Donisvitch avoids it easily.
A looping hook to the body misses from Fu. Donisvitch does a little dance to reset his feet.
Decent striking displayed by Fu there.
Donisvitch takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Fu throws a lazy right hand but Donisvitch sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Donisvitch tries to close the distance and clinch up but Fu swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Donisvitch misses with a few strikes there.
Donisvitch slips a jab and a cross from Fu.

Donisvitch gets a double leg takedown into Fu's guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Donisvitch wants to control from the top but Fu keeps moving.
Fu tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Fu is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Donisvitch looking to pass the guard.
Fu trying to control the position here.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Fu throws a wild body kick that Donisvitch sees coming a mile off.
A telegraphed right hand from Fu misses the target.
Fu has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Donisvitch fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Oooooh!!! Donisvitch has knocked Fu down with a huge combo! Donisvitch steps away and waves a wobbly Fu back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Donisvitch is looking for a takedown. Wow, that's a brutal slam - Fu is in big trouble! Donisvitch is landing strikes from the mount and this one is all over! The ref jumps in to save a confused looking Fu. Poor guy.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Slam). Jared Donisvitch!
The defeated Qing Fu had this to say: 'I had a great-time , Regardless of the outcome ,I need to adjust some things, but I will be back.....Good-night'.
