The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fighters circling - Son throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Son works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
BigMan shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Son defends it nicely.

Son throws a hook but BigMan avoids it easily.
Son cracks BigMan with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Son is breathing heavily.
Son missing with a left hand there. BigMan was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

BigMan pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Son tries to keep at a distance but BigMan has taken the fight into the clinch.

BigMan keeps control of Son as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

BigMan wants to take the fight to the mat but Son manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Son wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Son slaps away a takedown attempt from BigMan, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Son darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Son throws a lazy uppercut

and BigMan counters with a shoot takedown. Son fights it but they end up in guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
BigMan passes into half guard.
BigMan is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

BigMan is nestled in close to Son, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
BigMan not landing any meaningful shots this time.
BigMan tries to pass to full mount but Son defends it.
BigMan throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

BigMan looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
BigMan has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

BigMan is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Son has managed to escape the submission attempt.

BigMan is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Son can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
BigMan unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Son wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! BigMan celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
