The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lawler forces Stamm back against the cage and clinches.
Stamm changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Lawler fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Stamm tries for a takedown but Lawler sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Stamm misses with a takedown attempt
and Lawler counters with a two punch combo.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Steve Stamm. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lawler works Stamm's body with a nice hook.
Lawler throws a right hand that Stamm ducks under and follows up with a left that Stamm also avoids with ease.

Lawler darts in looking for a takedown but Stamm gets double underhooks and turns Lawler into the cage.

and Lawler counters with a straight right hand.

Lawler bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Stamm shoots in for a double leg but Lawler sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Lawler swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Stamm shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Lawler as he jumps to the side.
Stamm is breathing heavily.

Lawler throws a right and a left that both miss.
Lawler misses with a straight left.
Stamm shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Lawler counters with a stiff jab, followed by a cross and an uppercut! That's too much punishment for Stamm to take - he tumbles to the canvas, blood pouring from his nose, barely conscious. That's the end of the fight! Great knockout by Lawler!
