Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Josef Solis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jack Andersson!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Saam Ante and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Solis enables Andersson to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Solis manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Solis really is a fat lump.

Andersson postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Solis is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Andersson, into his guard.

Solis got a little sloppy there for a moment and Andersson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Solis has managed to get both his arms back between Andersson's legs - danger averted.
Solis has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Andersson is proving hard to escape from.

Andersson wants to sweep but no luck.
Solis wanted to stand there but Andersson had control of the position.

Our spies down at at Cozad Amsterdam inform us that Andersson has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

Andersson has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Solis is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Andersson.

Solis tries to stand and escape but Andersson actually recovers to full guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Solis accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Andersson shoots in and bounces Solis off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Andersson drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Solis manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Andersson has Solis in his guard.

It looks like Josef Solis has been cut.
Solis has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Andersson drops back, looking for a kneebar! Solis looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Solis looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Solis!

Solis wants to stand but Andersson has him controlled and pulls him back into his guard.

Solis is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Andersson is working an open guard so Solis takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Solis gets caught flat footed, as Andersson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Andersson is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Solis is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Solis has escaped and now he's on top!

Andersson had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Solis defends it easily.
Solis might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Solis looking to sit in guard and control but Andersson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Andersson has his foot on Solis's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Solis works his way back into a safe position though.

Andersson throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Solis escapes and throws Andersson's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Solis decides to stand up, so the ref orders Andersson to his feet.
Andersson tries to clinch there but Solis circles away.

Andersson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Andersson is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Andersson wants to work for an arm triangle but Solis is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
