Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between War Machine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva avoids the head kick by Machine.
Silva avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Silva shoots in and drives through. Machine sprawls well.

Machine misses with a hook. Silva ducked under it nicely.
Silva throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Machine's waist but Machine gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Silva off to one side.
War Machine has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jose Silva.

Machine gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Machine cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Machine cracks Silva with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Machine fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Silva stalks Machine and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Machine's face. Machine staggers backwards, shaken.

Machine on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Machine tries to get out of the position.
Machine is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Silva's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Silva's back!

Machine is nestled in close to Silva, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Machine is landing with some decent strikes but Silva is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Silva shoots for a double leg takedown but Machine sprawls well. He's pushed Silva's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
