Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Wyatt Jarvis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ahmed Jalal Al Suleimani (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ahmed Jalal Al Suleimani will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Wyatt Jarvis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ahmed Jalal Al Suleimani!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Al Suleimani shoots in for a takedown but Jarvis shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Al Suleimani tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jarvis paws at him with a jab and circles away.

and Jarvis makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Al Suleimani throws a sloppy head kick and Jarvis moves out of range easily.
Al Suleimani closes the distance and clinches up with Jarvis, looking for a takedown. Al Suleimani pushes Jarvis against the cage but Jarvis circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Wyatt Jarvis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ahmed Jalal Al Suleimani.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Al Suleimani is looking to take a break and control but Jarvis is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Al Suleimani tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Al Suleimani has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Jarvis regains half guard there - taking advantage of Al Suleimani's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Ahmed Jalal Al Suleimani hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Al Suleimani shoots in and drives through. Jarvis sprawls well.

and Jarvis counters by clinching up.
Al Suleimani should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Jarvis has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Al Suleimani uses from the top position.

Al Suleimani changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jarvis looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jarvis has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Al Suleimani is working away from the top position though.

Horrible takedown by Al Suleimani or perhaps it was just good defense by Jarvis which made him look bad.

Al Suleimani closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Jarvis tries to kick Al Suleimani off but Al Suleimani keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Jarvis is looking to control Al Suleimani's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Jarvis avoid being mounted?
Al Suleimani is looking to stall here but Jarvis recovers full guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Jarvis is on top in guard.

Jarvis has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Al Suleimani's face.

Jarvis is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

Jarvis has the hooks in. Al Suleimani is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

Wyatt Jarvis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ahmed Jalal Al Suleimani.

Al Suleimani throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Jarvis is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Al Suleimani is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Jarvis slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Wyatt Jarvis.

Jarvis working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Jarvis drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jarvis jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Jarvis is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Jarvis seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Al Suleimani for as long as he can get away with.
Jarvis wants to stand but Al Suleimani is controlling his posture from full guard.
