Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Coug Hunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matthew Altschuler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hunter's entrance music is Got Milf. A fine choice. The crowd seem to be enjoying Altschuler's choice of entrance music: Extreme Ways - Moby. The key to victory for Coug Hunter has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Coug Hunter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Matthew Altschuler!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, William Peck and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunter ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Altschuler moves away.
A combination from Hunter does no damage.
Hunter moves in looking to clinch but Altschuler pushes him off.
Altschuler uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Hunter.

Altschuler scores with a takedown into Hunter's guard.

Altschuler must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Altschuler shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hunter pinned against the cage. Hunter gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Altschuler closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hunter is on top in guard.

Altschuler has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hunter can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Hunter is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Altschuler had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Hunter is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Altschuler Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Hunter's back instead.
I really don't envy Hunter right now.
Hunter just trying to survive but Altschuler is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Altschuler is on top in guard.

Altschuler is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Hunter is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Hunter has escaped and now he's on top!

Altschuler shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Altschuler was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Altschuler is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Hunter can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Altschuler seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hunter does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Hunter tries to close the distance and clinch but Altschuler swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Horrible takedown by Altschuler or perhaps it was just good defense by Hunter which made him look bad.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Altschuler has closed the distance and engaged Hunter in a clinch.
Altschuler changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Hunter fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Hunter throws a right hand that Altschuler ducks under and follows up with a left that Altschuler also avoids with ease.

Altschuler fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hunter sprawls well initially but Altschuler persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Altschuler is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hunter is just riding it out for now. Altschuler eventually gives up the hold.

Altschuler is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
