Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Takeshi Yuudai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harald Hillgrund (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yuudai kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Fear of the dark - Iron Maiden. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hillgrund fails with a takedown attempt.
Yuudai tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Hillgrund manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Hillgrund closes this distance looking for a takedown but Yuudai circles away.
Yuudai dives in and grabs Hillgrund's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hillgrund pushes down on Yuudai's head and hops out.
We've been hearing reports that Yuudai has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hillgrund is on top in guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Yuudai is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Hillgrund can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Yuudai is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hillgrund is just riding it out for now. Yuudai eventually gives up the hold.

Yuudai looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Yuudai throwing shots but Hillgrund is blocking nicely.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Yuudai connects with a nice short shot to Hillgrund's temple.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Hillgrund stuns Yuudai with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Harald Hillgrund seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Yuudai avoids a punch combination nicely.
Hillgrund missing with a left hand there. Yuudai was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Yuudai shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hillgrund pinned against the cage. Hillgrund gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Hillgrund lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Hillgrund cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
You get the feeling that Yuudai really doesn't like being in this position too much.
