Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kelsey Vermont (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luciano Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cruz has chosen Smack That as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Luciano Cruz enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Radbod Blank and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cruz circles away from the clinch attempt.
Vermont tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Cruz manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Cruz throws an off balance right hand
and Vermont counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Cruz being controlled here, momentarily.
Cruz wants to stand but Vermont is controlling the position.

Vermont works over Cruz with some ground and pound from guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Vermont stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cruz swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Vermont stands and throws Cruz's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Vermont remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Vermont works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Cruz is looking to reverse the position.

Vermont lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Vermont takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Vermont in particular looking to stall.
Vermont works his way into side control.
Vermont looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Cruz is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Cruz wants to get back to his feet but Vermont drags him back down.
Vermont lands a decent elbow from side control.
Cruz takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Vermont trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Cruz doesn't escape.
Vermont seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Cruz for as long as he can get away with.

Vermont lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.
That has opened up Luciano Cruz's cut even more.
Cruz rolls, trying to escape but Vermont keeps control of the position.
Cruz is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Vermont is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Cruz. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.

The cut above Luciano Cruz's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Luciano Cruz's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Kelsey Vermont!
In his post fight interview, Kelsey Vermont gave a big smile as he said 'WANGALOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! Yes.'.
Luciano Cruz spoke after the fight, saying 'I will be back'.
