PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Tyler Crain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Maynard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Crain might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The Roots - Kool On. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Peter Maynard!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Daniel Bishop and Sam Margolis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slapping body kick lands there for Maynard.
Crain throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Maynard sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Crain lands a nice looking body shot.
Maynard connects with a leg kick. Crain looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Maynard lands with a cross.
Crain lands a glancing blow to the side of Maynard's head.

It looks like Peter Maynard has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Crain throws a hook to the side of Maynard's head but Maynard sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

That kick from Maynard tenderised Crain's leg. Crain is trying to keep his angry face on.
Maynard avoids the body shot from Crain.
Maynard fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Crain has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Crain pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Crain connects with a crisp jab.

Maynard ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Crain takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Crain throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Maynard counters with a good low kick that Crain was not able to check.
Maynard throws a sloppy head kick
and Maynard takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Crain comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Crain tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Maynard was well out of range. Poor timing from Crain.
Maynard throws a head kick that misses.
Crain is looking to clinch.
Maynard throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Crain tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
A cross from Crain lands.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Maynard takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Maynard looks to land a body kick but Crain moved away.

Maynard throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Maynard walks straight into a perfectly timed right hook, crumpling him to the floor! Maynard is in all kinds of trouble here - can he beat the count? 3,4,5,6,7,8,9....10 - he's out and it's by a long way too - he didn't ever look like beating that count!
