PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Voittaja Winner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Toga Masotti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Voittaja Winner had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 156.6lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Toga Masotti told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Masotti as Winner shoots in.

Masotti rushes Winner and presses him up against the cage.

Winner ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Winner no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Masotti decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Winner, up you get!
Winner fails with the takedown.
Winner throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Masotti's waist but Masotti gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Winner off to one side.
Winner tries for a takedown but Masotti sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Masotti connects with a solid leg kick.
Masotti lets loose with a powerful body kick. Winner will feel that in the morning.
Masotti stuffs the takedown attempt from Winner. Winner gets slowly back to his feet.

Masotti fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Winner, pushing him back against the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Winner avoids a wild elbow strike from Masotti.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Masotti.
Masotti slows down the pace here.
Masotti pushes off an throws an elbow but Winner leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Winner has Masotti pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Masotti manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Masotti pulls back and lands a big elbow that stuns Winner! Masotti unloads with more strikes and Winner sinks to his knees! This one is all over!

Toga Masotti gave a mention to Zipp Zapp in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
