Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Bilko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clifton P (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). P has chosen Who Next as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Bilko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Clifton P!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, John Kavanagh and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bilko is looking to clinch but P is avoiding it.
Good standup being displayed there by Bilko as he connects with a hook.
Bilko misses with a head kick.
Horrible takedown by P or perhaps it was just good defense by Bilko which made him look bad.

Bilko has managed to clinch.

P turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Bilko struggling a bit here.
P throws a strike aimed at the side of Bilko's head but Bilko avoids it well.
Bilko is trying to control P's posture but P avoids it.
Bilko is trying to get back to his feet.
Bilko tries to bench press P off him but P keeps the position.
Bilko is working to avoid the ground and pound but P connects with a decent elbow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
P trying to control the action but Bilko is working from the bottom.
P throwing shots but missing, from side control.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Bilko clinches up against the cage.

P lands a body shot.

Bilko successfully pulls guard.
P wants to control from the top but Bilko keeps moving.
Bilko pulls P in to control the position.

Bilko looking for a guillotine here but P defends easily.

Bilko has his foot on P's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. P works his way back into a safe position though.
Bilko is breathing heavily.
P trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
P scoring with punches to the head and body.
P postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
P postures up and lands a big shot to Bilko's brow.
Bilko thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Bilko keeping moving, preventing P from controlling successfully.
P throwing strikes but missing.

P stands up out of Bilko's guard for a moment - Bilko manages to land a nice upkick.
P trying to control the position from guard on top but Bilko is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
P lands a couple of elbows.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bilko controls P momentarily but P frees himself.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Nice sprawl there from Bilko as P shoots in.
Bilko scores with a nice head shot.
Bilko fails in his attempt to clinch.
Bilko is looking to clinch but P is avoiding it.

Bilko gets the takedown into side control.

Bilko is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. P knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
P manages to work his way to half guard, despite Bilko's best efforts.

P scores with a few weak punches.
Bilko wants to take a breather but P is having none of it.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Bilko connects with a nice short shot to P's temple.
Bilko prevents P from standing back up.

Bilko is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so P is just riding it out for now. Bilko eventually gives up the hold.
Bilko tries to pass the half guard into mount. P knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
P regains full guard. Nicely done.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Bilko tries to clinch there but P circles away.
Bilko moves in looking to clinch but P pushes him off.
Bilko tries to clinch but P is having none of it.
P tries for a takedown but Bilko circles away easily

and Bilko holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
John Bilko has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Clifton P.

Bilko manages to break the clinch.

Bilko has taken the fight to the clinch.
P tries to pull guard but Bilko holds him up against the cage and eventually P drops back down to his feet.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Bilko has clasped his hands together around P's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Bilko dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Clifton P's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Bilko is looking to clinch.
Bilko misses with a leg kick.
P misses with a takedown attempt
and Bilko counters with a left and a right that stings P.
Bilko tries to close the distance and clinch up but P swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Bilko fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. P sprawls well initially but Bilko persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
P is trying to stand up here but Bilko is controlling him well.
Bilko seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
P wants to improve his position but Bilko is controlling well.

Bilko stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows P to get to his feet.
P with a poor takedown
and Bilko counters with a series of strikes. P will be more careful next time no doubt.
P shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

so Bilko counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
John Bilko has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Clifton P.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
P will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Bilko is working P over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Bilko is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. P doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Bilko.
P is looking to escape.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Bilko in particular looking to stall.
Bilko tries to stand but his hand is stuck under P.

P wants to improve his position but Bilko is controlling well.
Bilko lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Bilko perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Bilko is pulling down on P's head. It's preventing any offense from P, at least for the moment.
P won't allow Bilko to sweep him here.

John Bilko overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

P slips a nice elbow through Bilko's hands, connecting with Bilko's forehead.
P wants to stand up but Bilko is controlling the position.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!


P will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Bilko feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
P is trying to keep Bilko in close.

P can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Bilko controls the pace.

and Bilko counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

P seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

P is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Bilko tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. P smiles and moves away.

P shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bilko's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Bilko has his hands on P's head, controlling the position.
Bilko wants to sweep but no luck.

P thows a big elbow that misses.

Bilko manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. P manages to get himself to full guard.
P controls Bilko momentarily but Bilko frees himself.

P pushes Bilko off and gets back to his feet.
Bilko fails to land with a series of punches.

P scores a takedown into full mount!
Bilko is wriggling around trying to escape.
Bilko slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
P is nestled in close to Bilko, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

P thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Bilko's head.
Bilko is controlling P's position as best he can from this difficult position.
P prevents Bilko from improving his position.
Bilko is trying to maintain the position but P is very close to passing his half guard.
P is pressing down on Bilko's thigh, looking to free his foot. Bilko is holding on for now.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Bilko throws a right and a left that both miss.
P circles away from the clinch attempt.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
P with a lazy takedown attempt
and Bilko counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
P tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bilko swivels and escapes.
Clifton P has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Bilko uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
P uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bilko.

And that's the end of the fight!
John Bilko showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Bilko has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
