The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burjanadze throws a series of punches but Rolin moves out of range.
Rolin's jab looks to have found its range, popping Burjanadze under the eye.
Burjanadze shoots for a takedown but Rolin saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Jayden Rolin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rolin cracks Burjanadze with an open hand slap.
Burjanadze tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Rolin manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Burjanadze wants to clinch up but Rolin keeps it at a distance.
Rolin walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Rolin throws a shot to the body.

Rolin loads up on a big right hand but Burjanadze slips the punch.
Rolin rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Burjanadze moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Burjanadze throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Burjanadze looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rolin is fending him off so far but Burjanadze persists. Nope, Rolin circles away and we're back to standing.
Burjanadze tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Rolin manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Rolin drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Burjanadze is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Rolin working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Rolin has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Burjanadze wants to control the action here but instead Rolin manages to pass to full mount!
Rolin postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Burjanadze looks a forlorn figure.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
