Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jesse Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luke Sullivan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jesse Anderson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Luke Sullivan!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Jorge Garcia and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sullivan avoids the head kick by Anderson.
Anderson pivots, looking for a leg kick but Sullivan is out of range and Anderson settles back down.

Anderson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Anderson throws a strike but Sullivan rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Anderson has control of Sullivan's left arm, preventing Sullivan from doing any damage.

Anderson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sullivan swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Luke Sullivan.

Anderson shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Sullivan manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Anderson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sullivan on the ground.

Anderson slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Sullivan is trying to control the position but Anderson postures up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Anderson advances position into side control!
Sullivan is looking to regain half guard here but Anderson keeps moving and retains side control.
Sullivan gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Sullivan is looking for a sweep. Anderson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Anderson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Sullivan's head.
Anderson wants to take a breather but Sullivan is having none of it.

We're going to have a standup here because Jesse Anderson wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Sullivan cracks Anderson with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Anderson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sullivan looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Anderson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Sullivan to the mat! Sullivan manages to get full guard.

Anderson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sullivan can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Luke Sullivan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!



Anderson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Sullivan's guard.
Sullivan is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

BOOM! Sullivan connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Sullivan has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Anderson's face.
Sullivan wants to control the pace but Anderson is squirming around nicely.

Anderson is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Luke Sullivan has got the better of the ground game so far.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Anderson tries to hold on but Sullivan postures up.
Sullivan is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Anderson can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Sullivan is working for a guillotine from mount but Anderson frees his head quite easily.

Sullivan has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

This has been an exciting period of action!
The referee warns Anderson that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Sullivan connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Sullivan can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Anderson is looking to escape.

Anderson is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Sullivan lands a couple of good shots and Anderson has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

Oooh a big shot gets through from Sullivan. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!

Sullivan is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Sullivan gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Sullivan gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Sullivan apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Anderson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Anderson decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Sullivan throws a body punch but Anderson moves out of range.

And that's the end of the fight!
Luke Sullivan comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Sullivan has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
