Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nico Vega (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zdravko Dren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dren has chosen GETO BOYS - mind of a lunatic as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Zdravko Dren!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, David Hoff and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vega connects with a vicious head kick that knocks Dren to the floor! Vega dives in looking for the finish!
It looks like Zdravko Dren has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Dren wants to improve his position but Vega is controlling well.
Dren is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Vega's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Vega's back!
Dren tries to keep control of the position but Vega is staying busy.
Vega looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands.
Dren just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

Dren has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Vega's body.
Dren should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

I would not like to be Vega right now.

Vega definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Dren really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Vega.
Dren looking to break Vega's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Vega remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Dren will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Zdravko Dren hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Dren dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

A close round but Zdravko Dren will probably get the nod.

Vega looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Dren bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Vega's head.
Vega wants to clinch up but Dren keeps it at a distance.
Dren lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Vega lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Vega misses with a leg kick
and Dren counters with a stiff jab, followed by a cross and an uppercut! That's too much punishment for Vega to take - he tumbles to the canvas, blood pouring from his nose, barely conscious. That's the end of the fight! Great knockout by Dren!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:32 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Zdravko Dren!
Zdravko Dren is the new heavyweight champion!
A relieved looking Zdravko Dren thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
