Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lay Pray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sean Kingston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pray comes to the cage accompanied by Don't Fear the Reaper- Blue Oyster Cult. Kingston has chosen Sean Kingston- Fire Burning as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 31 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lay Pray!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sean Kingston!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Tiny Johnson and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pray tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Kingston defends well and Pray ends up having to push Kingston into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Kingston manages to break the clinch.
Pray with a lazy takedown attempt
and Kingston counters with a nice uppercut.
Kingston keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lay Pray. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Pray closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Pray lands in his opponent's guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Kingston wants to stand up but Pray is controlling him.
We've been hearing good reports from Pray's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Pray not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Kingston is pulling down on Pray's head. It's preventing any offense from Pray, at least for the moment.

We're going to have a standup here because Lay Pray wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Pray tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kingston swivels and escapes.

and Kingston counters with a series of strikes. Pray will be more careful next time no doubt.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Pray misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Pray shoots for a double leg takedown but Kingston sprawls well. He's pushed Pray's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Kingston tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Pray manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Kingston keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Pray is breathing heavily.
Nice takedown defense from Kingston. No joy for Pray on that attempt.

Kingston feints and as Pray raises his hands in defense, Kingston changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Kingston is looking to work some ground and pound but Pray has wrist control.

Kingston postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Kingston wants to control from the top but Pray keeps moving.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Sean Kingston hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Pray shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kingston's guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Lay Pray.
Pray throws a sloppy head kick and Kingston moves out of range easily.
Pray shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kingston as he avoids it easily.
Pray darts in looking for a takedown but Kingston gets double underhooks and turns Pray into the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Pray is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Kingston gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Kingston's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Pray shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kingston's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Kingston wants to stand but Pray is controlling the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Lay Pray will probably get the nod.
That's time! Pray's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Kingston looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Kingston moves into range and clinches up with Pray.
Pray tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Kingston pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Kingston rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Pray moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Kingston has Pray up against the cage in a clinch.
Pray tries to score a body lock takedown but Kingston shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lay Pray. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Pray escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Kingston drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
My spies in Main Event Gym inform me that Kingston has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Kingston is trying to get an arm triangle but Pray is defending well.
Pray wants to get back to his feet.

The strikes coming from Kingston are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Kingston in side control lands a decent elbow.
Kingston throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Lay Pray overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Pray trying to control but Kingston flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back!
Kingston trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.

Kingston has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Pray has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Pray can't escape the position.

Pray manages to stand up with Kingston still on his back. Eventually Kingston drops to his feet and we're back in the standing position.
Pray shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kingston as he avoids it easily.
Kingston swats away the attempt to clinch by Pray.
Lay Pray is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The fight stays on the outside here - Kingston looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

and Pray takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Pray goes for a takedown in the clinch but Kingston prevents it.

Pray keeps control of Kingston as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Kingston has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Pray uses from the top position.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kingston slaps away a takedown attempt from Pray, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Pray gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Kingston counters with a deadly accurate combination that rocks Pray badly! He tries to strike back but Kingston puts an end to that with another precision combo that knocks Pray out cold! Oh man, Pray will never hear the end of this one!
