Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andrey Voronkoff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Duke Dog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Voronkoff comes to the cage accompanied by System of a Down-Aerials. Andrey Voronkoff has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Andrey Voronkoff!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Duke Dog!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Fedor Mirinova and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Voronkoff drives through with a takedown into guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Voronkoff scoring with punches to the head and body.
Voronkoff definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Voronkoff postures up.
Voronkoff has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Dog trying to control the position here.
Voronkoff missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Voronkoff won't allow Dog to sweep him here.
Voronkoff pushes down on Dog's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Voronkoff wants to pass to mount but Dog is defending the position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Voronkoff drops an elbow to the side of Dog's head.

Voronkoff is working for a submission of some sort.
Dog trying to hold on to Voronkoff's head to control him but Voronkoff postures up.

Voronkoff tries to pass the half guard into mount. Dog knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Dog wants to improve his position but Voronkoff is controlling well.
Voronkoff takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nice strikes from Voronkoff there.
Voronkoff passes the guard and advances to mount!
Dog wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Voronkoff.

Voronkoff is working for a guillotine from mount but Dog frees his head quite easily.
Voronkoff throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Dog is squirming around, avoiding Voronkoff's attempts to control the action.
Voronkoff is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Dog is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Voronkoff cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Voronkoff trying to control but he's not successful this time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Voronkoff lands a heavy elbow.
Voronkoff throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
Voronkoff thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Dog is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Voronkoff misses with a head shot.

Voronkoff is working for a guillotine from mount but Dog frees his head quite easily.
Voronkoff looking to control but Dog is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Dog is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Dog tries to hold on but Voronkoff postures up.
Voronkoff tries to control but Dog wriggling away.
Dog wants to control but Voronkoff is having none of it.

Voronkoff lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Dog sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Dog really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Voronkoff. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Voronkoff is trying to control. Dog wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Voronkoff is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Dog!

Voronkoff punching from mount but Dog doing a good job of avoiding damage.
Dog is looking to improve his position but Voronkoff isn't that keen on the idea.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Andrey Voronkoff dominated that round.
That's time! Voronkoff's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Voronkoff closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
The referee is keeping an eye on Voronkoff - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Voronkoff breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Dog jabs at Voronkoff's body.
Voronkoff shoots in looking for a takedown. Dog tries to sprawl out of it but Voronkoff keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dog manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Voronkoff looks for the body kick but Dog saw that one coming.
Dog takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Dog throws a sloppy head kick
and Voronkoff counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Voronkoff swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Voronkoff clinches up against the cage.

Voronkoff manages to pull guard.

Dog avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dog has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Voronkoff is proving hard to escape from.
Dog is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Voronkoff is pulling down on Dog's head to control his posture.
Dog wants to stand and escape but instead Voronkoff has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Voronkoff wants to control from the top but Dog keeps moving.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Voronkoff slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Andrey Voronkoff has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
A nice combination there by Dog.


It looks like Andrey Voronkoff has been cut.
Dog throws a series of punches but Voronkoff moves out of range.
Voronkoff moves forwards but Dog connects with a nice, crisp jab.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Dog throws a head kick that misses.
A nice inside leg kick there by Voronkoff. That's going to slow Dog down.
Dog pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Good leg kick by Dog there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Dog lands with a nice combination. Voronkoff backs away looking to recover.
Voronkoff shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Dog but Dog pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Duke Dog seems to be getting the better of the standup.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Voronkoff throws a right and a left that both miss.
Dog scores with a one two! Voronkoff had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Dog lands a big head kick that sends Voronkoff tumbling to the mat! Dog takes a step backwards and waves Voronkoff back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Voronkoff is rocked!

Voronkoff misses with the body kick
and Dog counters with a leg kick.
Oh Voronkoff is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Dog throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Voronkoff crumples to the floor and the fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:24 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Duke Dog!
