Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Al Drake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trent Morrison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Al Drake could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Trent Morrison's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morrison keeps the fight on the outside.
Morrison looks for the body kick but Drake saw that one coming.
Morrison lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Drake swats away the attempt to clinch by Morrison.
Morrison throws a head kick that misses.
Morrison shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Drake as he jumps to the side.
Morrison connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Drake shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Morrison defends it nicely.
We've been told by Drake's head coaches at Cozad The Island that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Morrison fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Drake thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Morrison if he has to take too many more of those.
Morrison dives in and grabs Drake's left leg, looking for a takedown. Drake pushes down on Morrison's head and hops out.
Al Drake has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Trent Morrison.
Morrison shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Drake as he avoids it easily.
Morrison shoots in looking for a takedown. Drake tries to sprawl out of it but Morrison keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Drake manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Morrison is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Drake.

It looks like Trent Morrison has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Drake is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Drake throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Morrison looks winded!
Morrison circles away from the clinch attempt.
Morrison misses with a few strikes there.
Drake tries to clinch up but Morrison circles away and keeps his distance.
Drake scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Drake fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Drake takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

A lazy left from Drake finds it's target.
Morrison swats away the attempt to clinch by Drake.

Morrison closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Drake is doing well to control the position and prevent Morrison from advancing to side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Morrison decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Good work by Morrison as he checks the leg kick.

Morrison has Drake up against the cage in a clinch.
Morrison lands a nice elbow.

It looks like Al Drake has been cut.
Morrison misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Drake.

Drake breaks the clinch.

Drake has taken the fight to the clinch.
Morrison tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Morrison utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.
Morrison is trying to maintain a safe position but Drake gets an underhook and turns Morrison into the cage.

Drake escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Drake misses with a body kick.
Morrison avoids the head kick by Drake.

Morrison throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Drake scores with a three punch combo!
Drake rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Morrison moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Drake fails to land with a series of punches.
Morrison checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

Drake fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Morrison sprawls well initially but Drake persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Drake is keen to just control but Morrison is a slippery customer.
Morrison manages to get to full guard.
Drake showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
We've been informed that Morrison has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Morrison looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Morrison is trying to control the position but Drake postures up.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Al Drake wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Drake scores with a body shot.
Drake looks to land a combination. Morrison sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
A head kick misses from Drake.
Drake stuffs the takedown attempt from Morrison. Morrison gets slowly back to his feet.
Drake bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Morrison's head.

Morrison is rocked!
Morrison lands a lovely overhand right.

Drake lands with a right that hurts Morrison. Morrison looks to clinch but Drake throws a short knee that drops Morrison. This one is all over!

An out of breath Al Drake thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
In defeat, Trent Morrison stepped up to the mic, saying 'GUARGGHH!!'.
