Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 1, fighting out of New York, Porter Barton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Shaun George!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Jonathan Paton and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barton fails with a takedown attempt.

George has managed to clinch.

George works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Barton is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
George throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Barton works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
George is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
George throwing strikes from guard but Barton blocks nicely.
George trying to control the position from guard on top but Barton is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

That's one minute gone in the round.
George throwing strikes but missing.
George sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Barton's guard.
George takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. George connects with a nice short shot to Barton's temple.

George decides to return to a standing position.
Barton is breathing heavily.

George darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
George looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
George tries to stand but can't do so whilst Barton controls his leg.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
George wants to take a breather but Barton is having none of it.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Shaun George has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

George dives in and scores a takedown into Barton's guard.
George is looking to work some ground and pound but Barton has wrist control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
George has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Barton is proving hard to escape from.
Barton will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

George stands and steps away. Barton gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Barton takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
George looks to land a combination. Barton sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.


Barton is rocked!


It looks like Porter Barton has been cut.

George lands a huge takedown. Barton is out but the ref is slow to react and George lands 3 more undefended punches before the fight is stopped. Brutal finish. Barton lies on the canvas for a good minute before the doctors bring him round. Good to see he's OK.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Shaun George!
