Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Garrett Lapp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Olafur Sigfusson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sigfusson has chosen Prince of the Rodeo by Turbonegro as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lapp moves out of range as Sigfusson throws a body kick.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sigfusson wants to get back to his feet but Lapp is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Lapp has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Sigfusson stands up and waves to Lapp to follow him.
Sigfusson pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Lapp feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Lapp tries to close the distance and clinch but Sigfusson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Lapp shoots in looking for a takedown. Sigfusson tries to sprawl out of it but Lapp keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sigfusson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
