Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Nathan Silver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diego Godin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nathan Silver has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Godin fails with the takedown.
Godin slips under a jab.
Godin wants to land a leg kick but Silver is out of range.
Godin throws a leg kick but Silver sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Godin misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Silver looks to land a right hand but Godin moved out of range.
Godin misses with a low kick.

Silver wants to improve his position but Godin is controlling well.

Godin has gone for a leg lock! Silver slips out almost immediately though and dives into Godin's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Godin is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Godin has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Silver can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Godin shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Silver gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Godin to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Godin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Silver swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Silver knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Godin on the ground.
