Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dave Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonathan Thor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Thor's choice of entrance music: Boom - P.O.D. Jonathan Thor has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thor scores with a hook.
Thor has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Johnson thuds a left hand into Thor's body.
A punch lands to the side of Johnson 's head but he takes it in his stride.
The fighters circling - Johnson throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Johnson checks a low kick from Thor.
Thor throws a head kick but Johnson moves out of range.
Thor goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Thor finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Thor lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Thor scoring well with a low kick there.
Thor looks to land a body kick but Johnson moved away.
Johnson avoids a kick to the body.
Thor throws a leg kick but Johnson moved away.

Thor fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Johnson, pushing him back against the cage.

Johnson has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Thor uses from the top position.

Johnson wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Thor manages to pass to side control.
Still in half guard, Thor seems content to control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Thor lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Johnson tries to bum rush Thor with a series of wild strikes but Thor uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Thor thows a body kick. Johnson tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Thor smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Thor tries to clinch up but Johnson circles away and keeps his distance.

Thor fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Johnson.

Johnson moves forwards but Thor connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Thor lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Thor pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Thor. Johnson shrugs it off though.
Thor moves in looking to clinch but Johnson pushes him off.
Thor buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Thor throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Thor attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jonathan Thor showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!



Thor darts in and clinches Johnson up against the cage.
Thor has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Johnson closes the distance and clinches up with Thor, looking for a takedown. Johnson pushes Thor against the cage but Thor circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Johnson moves out of range as Thor throws a body kick.
Thor throws the kick towards the body but Johnson avoids it.
Thor wants to slow Johnson down by chopping away at his legs.
Thor lands with a kick to the temple. Johnson shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Thor connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Johnson momentarily.
Johnson will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.
Johnson chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Thor can pounce on him.
Johnson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Johnson tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Thor catches Johnson with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Thor throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Thor fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Thor throws a big shot that misses.
Thor throws the left hand but Johnson avoids the punch easily.
Johnson blocks a jab.
Thor scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Thor is looking to clinch but Johnson is avoiding it.
Johnson is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Johnson closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Johnson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Thor but Thor pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Well Thor has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
