Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Abed Nadir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wes Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nadir comes to the ring accompanied by M.A.S.H Theme. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Abed Nadir!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Wes Walker!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Chris Saunders and Ryoma Takatsuka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nadir is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Walker.

Nadir closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Walker quickly recovers to half guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Nadir throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Walker is defending against the submission attempts here by Nadir.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Nadir is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

We've been hearing that Nadir has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Nadir misses with a head shot. Walker uses the momentum to regain guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Nadir accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Walker holds on and takes a little breather.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Walker swings away with a leg kick that misses.

Walker throws the kick towards the body but Nadir avoids it.
Walker ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Nadir moves away.
Walker throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Walker checks the leg kick nicely there.
Nadir misses with a body shot.
Nadir throws a jab but it's blocked by Walker.
Walker uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Nadir.
Walker throws a predictable looking body shot
and Nadir counters with an inside leg kick.
Nadir scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Walker throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Walker throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Walker misses with a wild body shot.
Walker throws a looping overhand right but Nadir ducks down to avoid it.
Walker swats away the attempt to clinch by Nadir.
Walker avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Walker on the wrong end of a nice hook.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Walker takes a swing at Nadir's ribcage but misses.
Walker is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Nadir rather than just go for the knockout.

Nadir throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Walker regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Nadir.
Walker looking to hit a scissor sweep but Nadir is one step ahead there.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Nadir connects with the punch.
Jab, jab by Nadir - just one landing.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Nadir crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Walker - the referee stops the clock and Nadir gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Walker. Nadir manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Nadir throws a jab but it's blocked by Walker.
Walker lands with a kick to the ribs.
Walker thows a body shot but no joy.
Nadir's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Walker connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Nadir scrambles back to his feet.
Walker looks to throw the jab but Nadir is out of range.
Nice jab there from Walker.
Walker misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Walker stuns Nadir with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Walker just misses with a punch to the body.
Walker misses with a hook to the body
and Nadir counters with a straight right hand.
Walker ducks under a wild hook from Nadir.
Walker throws a shot from downtown. Nadir moves away and avoids it.
Nadir darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Nadir moves out of range of the body kick from Walker.

Nadir pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Nadir checks a low kick from Walker.
Nadir moves out of range of the strikes.
Walker ducks under a wild hook from Nadir.
Walker checks a leg kick nicely.
Nadir misses with an attempted mid kick.
Nadir walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Walker checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Walker gets caught flat footed, as Nadir shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Wes Walker has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Walker throws the kick towards the body but Nadir avoids it.

Walker dips to his left and cracks Nadir with an uppercut!
Nadir throws a front kick aimed at Walker's knee but Walker avoids it well.

Nadir tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Walker was well out of range. Poor timing from Nadir.
Walker walks into a left hand.
Nadir throws a hook to the side of Walker's head but Walker sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Walker is looking to land body kicks.
A looping hook to the body misses from Walker. Nadir does a little dance to reset his feet.
Nadir takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Abed Nadir is winning the standup battle so far.
Walker misses with a body kick.
Walker has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
That kick from Nadir tenderised Walker's leg. Walker is trying to keep his angry face on.

and Walker counters with a nice body kick.

Nadir lands with a hook. Walker tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Walker misses with a jab, cross combination.

Nadir drops Walker with a nice combination! Nadir dives into Walker's guard, looking to finish!


Walker is rocked!
Nadir postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Walker covers up, he's hurt! Nadir keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Nadir and the ref steps in to end the fight! Nadir can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:31 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Abed Nadir!
Abed Nadir decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
