And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Del Rio lands with a right to the head.


It looks like Anderson Kelz has been cut.
Kelz tries to break the clinch but Del Rio is controlling the position.

Del Rio has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Kelz regains guard immediately.

Kelz has closed the distance and engaged Del Rio in a clinch.

Del Rio throws a knee to the head but misses.
Kelz is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Kelz is looking to break free of the clinch but Del Rio has double underhooks.

Kelz looking to sit in guard and control but Del Rio gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Del Rio fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kelz sprawls well initially but Del Rio persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Del Rio tries a head kick but it misses.
Kelz blocks a head kick by Del Rio.

Del Rio looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Kelz throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Del Rio closes the distance and pushes Kelz back into the cage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Del Rio jumps guard and drags Kelz to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Del Rio is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kelz is controlling him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Del Rio darts in and clinches Kelz up against the cage.
Kelz is looking to control Del Rio's arms but Del Rio gets an underhook and turns him. Now Kelz has his back to the cage.

Del Rio ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Del Rio no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Kelz won't allow Del Rio to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Anderson Kelz has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Del Rio moves into range and clinches up with Kelz.

Del Rio lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Del Rio turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Del Rio wants to take a breather but Kelz manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Del Rio.

Kelz is trying to maintain a safe position but Del Rio gets an underhook and turns Kelz into the cage.
Kelz tries to pull guard but Del Rio won't allow it.

Del Rio lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Del Rio seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kelz does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Kelz takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Alberto Del Rio.

Del Rio drives through and clinches with Kelz against the cage.

Del Rio misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Kelz.
Del Rio will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Kelz up against the cage.

Del Rio has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Kelz uses from the top position.
