Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Valeri Chadov and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Thompson moves into range and clinches up with Glorian.
Thompson goes for a takedown attempt but Glorian pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Glorian shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Thompson as he jumps to the side.
Glorian gets a takedown into half guard.
Glorian is looking to take a break and control but Thompson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Thompson wants to get back to full guard.
Thompson flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Glorian trying to mount his opponent but Thompson defends it.

Jet Thompson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Glorian feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Thompson tries to buck Glorian off but Glorian is having none of it.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Glorian swings around for an armbar but Thompson sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Glorian's guard.
Thompson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Thompson thows a big elbow that misses.
Thompson is in close to Glorian's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Glorian is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Glorian is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Thompson can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Glorian fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Thompson sprawls well initially but Glorian persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Glorian is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Thompson has managed to free his arm - good work.

Thompson looking to improve position, pressing down on Glorian's thigh with his hand. Glorian seems to be working to lock up a guilotine though... is Thompson paying attention? Apparently not! He's locked it up tight! Thompson's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! Glorian picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!
