The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Highlight shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Flapjacks defends it nicely.
The Highlight changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Flapjacks tries to avoid it but The Highlight manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Flapjacks to the ground. Flapjacks escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Flapjacks avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
We've been told by Flapjacks's head coaches at Nonprofit Vegas Elite $50 ($1000 value) that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Flapjacks lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Flapjacks throws a combination. The Highlight tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Flapjacks lands a left and a right that send The Highlight crashing to the mat, dazed. Flapjacks thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

The Highlight is rocked!

It looks like Nick The Highlight has been cut.
Flapjacks changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from The Highlight is defended easily by Flapjacks.
Fred Flapjacks has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nick The Highlight.

Flapjacks cracks The Highlight with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! The Highlight looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Flapjacks finish him?
The Highlight is still on wobbly legs! Can Flapjacks finish him?

The Highlight misses with a takedown attempt

and Flapjacks counters with a crisp right hand that drops The Highlight! Flapjacks lets The Highlight back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
The Highlight seems to have recovered his senses.
Flapjacks connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt The Highlight! He's out on his feet! Flapjacks rushes in and drops The Highlight with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!

Fred Flapjacks was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
