Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Jorge Garcia and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gutz changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Zangief fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Gutz on the side of the head.
Gutz closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Zangief quickly recovers to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Zangief looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Gutz seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Zangief wants to control but Gutz is keeping busy.

Zangief holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Gutz seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Gutz uses his free foot to push down on Zangief's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Zangief.
Zangief is looking to improve his position but Gutz isn't that keen on the idea.
Zangief tries to hold on but Gutz postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Gutz is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Zangief can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Zangief really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Zangief has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Zangief tries to lock up and control but Gutz gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Gutz can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Zangief is looking to escape.
Gutz looking to finish Zangief with some ground and pound. This is bad for Zangief!

Oooooh, big shot lands for Gutz! Zangief is hurt baaadly! Gutz is firing away with more strikes - Zangief is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
