Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Matt Mihana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jazon James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jazon James will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are George Francis, Gwen Towbar and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James shoots in but no luck this time.
James looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Mihana has closed the distance and engaged James in a clinch.
James is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Mihana is keeping busy.
Mihana pulls guard.
Mihana looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Mihana looking for a guillotine here but James defends easily.
Mihana pushes James off and gets back to his feet.
Mihana closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Mihana.
Mihana breaks from the clinch.

Mihana blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
James wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Mihana is trying to trip James. He has hold of a leg but James is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Mihana persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

James avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Mihana tries to stand but James is controlling from the bottom.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Mihana pushes James up against the cage in a clinch.
Mihana gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, James regains guard.
Mihana lands a couple of digs.
James can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Mihana controls the pace.
Mihana lands a couple of decent looking shots.

James working for a triangle but Mihana defends it easily.
James wants to sweep but no luck.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mihana is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Mihana is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
James is trying to keep Mihana in close.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Mihana wants to get up but he can't break James's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Mihana clinches up with James and pushes him back against the cage.

James is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Mihana rolls with it to try and escape but James cranks on the arm and Mihana is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
