Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Hodges (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Davey Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hodges has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Davey Smith will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Smith closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Hodges has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Smith avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Smith is trying to pull guard but Hodges turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Smith's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Smith tries to close the distance and clinch but Hodges swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Smith stalks Hodges and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Hodges's face. Hodges staggers backwards, shaken.

It looks like Kevin Hodges has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Smith tries to clinch there but Hodges circles away.
Smith tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hodges paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Smith lands a left and a right that send Hodges crashing to the mat, dazed. Smith thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Hodges is breathing heavily.
Smith catches Hodges with a right, a left, a right. It's raining punches and Hodges forgot an umbrella! Another punch and he's down. This one is over!
