The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Samusiovas smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Kostov moves out of range of the body kick from Samusiovas.

Samusiovas throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

Samusiovas has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Kostov is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Kostov counters with a nice body shot.
Samusiovas slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Samusiovas pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Samusiovas lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Kostov backs up against the ropes.
Samusiovas moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

The fighters circling - Kostov throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Samusiovas dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Kostov. That did some damage!
Kostov moves forwards but Samusiovas connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Samusiovas thows a body kick. Kostov tries to catch it but that hurt him.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kostov's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Samusiovas connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Kostov scrambles back to his feet.
Samusiovas lands with a shot to the body.
Kostov uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Samusiovas.
Kostov tries to land a front kick but Samusiovas steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Samusiovas throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Samusiovas throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Samusiovas throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Kostov takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Samusiovas slips under a jab from Kostov.
Arunas Samusiovas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kostov throws a sloppy head kick and Samusiovas moves out of range easily.

Samusiovas scores with a jab and follows up with an uppercut that drops Kostov to his knees! He bounces straight back to his feet but is forced to take the mandatory standing 8 count before he's allowed to continue. We're back under way and the fighters meet in the middle of the canvas to re-engage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Samusiovas lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Kostov walks straight into devastating uppercut and drops to the floor, clearly wobbled! Can he beat the count? 4,5,6,7... he's up! And he's down again! The ref steps in and calls an end to the fight! What a punch that was!
