Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Renato Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wrabadub Indatub (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Renato Alves!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Wrabadub Indatub!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Edson Gomes and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alves pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Indatub has a takedown stuffed.
Indatub shoots in but Alves avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Alves tries to clinch up.

Alves fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Indatub, pushing him back against the cage.

Alves breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Alves will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Indatub fails with a takedown attempt.
Renato Alves has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wrabadub Indatub.
Alves throws a sloppy head kick and Indatub moves out of range easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Indatub gets caught flat footed, as Alves shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Indatub tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Alves tries to free his leg and advance position but Indatub is retaining full guard.

Indatub has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Alves can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Alves knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Indatub on the ground.
Alves works his foot free and advances to mount.
Alves prevents Indatub from getting the reversal.
Indatub wants to control but Alves is having none of it.
Indatub is wriggling around trying to escape.
Indatub is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Indatub wants to hold on but Alves pushes him away.
Indatub is trying desperately to improve position.
Indatub is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Alves looking to control and managing it successfully.
Alves has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Indatub tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Alves controlling from mount.
Alves is breathing heavily.
Alves prevents Indatub from getting the reversal.
Alves controlling his opponent.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Indatub wants to control but Alves is having none of it.
Alves sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Indatub is squirming around, avoiding Alves's attempts to control the action.
Alves prevents Indatub from getting the reversal.
Indatub tries to hold on but Alves pushes him away.
Indatub is looking to get to half guard.

Alves sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Indatub regains half guard.

Indatub regains full guard. Nicely done.
Indatub is trying to control the position but Alves postures up.
Alves has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Indatub can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Alves controls the pace.

Alves gets to his feet. Indatub looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Renato Alves dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Indatub crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Alves - the referee stops the clock and Indatub gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Alves. Indatub manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Alves drives through with a takedown into guard.
Alves seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Indatub pushes a forearm under Alves's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Alves is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:30 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Wrabadub Indatub!
