The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
O Flanigan throws a series of punches but Pena moves out of range.
O Flanigan looks to land a left hand but Pena moved out of range nicely.
O Flanigan throws a jab when Pena was well out of range.
Pena blocks a leg kick.
O Flanigan uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Pena.
Pena lands with a shot to the body.
Pena misses with a hook.
Some wild striking there from O Flanigan.
O Flanigan ducks under a wild hook from Pena.
O Flanigan lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by O Flanigan.
O Flanigan lands the left hand.
Pena throws the left hand but O Flanigan avoids the punch easily.
Pena throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
O Flanigan defending well as Pena loads up on a big left hand.

and O Flanigan counters with a left and a right that hurts Pena! He wobbles and falls to the floor - he's in big trouble! O Flanigan jumps into full mount!

Pena sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

O Flanigan stands up and beckons Pena to join him on the feet.
Pena lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but O Flanigan circles away quickly and effectively.
O Flanigan throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Pena is breathing heavily.
Pena jabbing away but nothing is landing.
O Flanigan slips under a jab from Pena.
Pena doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
O Flanigan will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
O Flanigan drops Pena with a left and a right! Oh, Pena is hurt - O Flanigan dives into side control looking to finish!
Oh Pena is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

It looks like Pentti Pena has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Pena seems to have got his legs back now.
O Flanigan trying to control the action but Pena is working from the bottom.

Pena is looking to regain half guard here but O Flanigan keeps moving and retains side control.
Pena tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but O Flanigan presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Pena is wriggling around trying to escape.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
O Flanigan wants to take a breather but Pena is having none of it.
Pena is trying to get back to full guard.
O Flanigan is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
O Flanigan can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Pena is looking to escape.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Pena ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
O Flanigan misses with a few strikes there.
Pentti Pena is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
O Flanigan changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Walter O Flanigan seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Pena takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
O Flanigan moves out of range as Pena strikes.
Pentti Pena seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The crowd cheers as O Flanigan lands an impressive looking overhand right. Pena doesn't seem phased though.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
O Flanigan cracks Pena with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
O Flanigan will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

O Flanigan drops Pena with a naaaaasty hook - Pena is in real trouble here! O Flanigan dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
