And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Steven Sangweni!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Konstantin Menshow and Valeri Chadov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Panov with that takedown attempt.
Sangweni scores with a jab to the jaw.
Panov shoots in and drives through. Sangweni sprawls well.
Sangweni throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Panov.

Oooh a lovely combination from Sangweni sends Panov down but not out. Sangweni dives into side control looking to finish.

Panov is rocked!

It looks like Yra Panov has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Sangweni stands up and beckons Panov to his feet.
Oh Panov is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Panov shoots and misses
and Sangweni rattles Panov with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Panov tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Sangweni dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Panov stiff and motionless on the mat!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Steven Sangweni!
Steven Sangweni decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
