The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Velttonen feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Manavazyam sprawling to the canvas! Manavazyam rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Velttonen finish him?!
Manavazyam is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Velttonen tries to bum rush Manavazyam with a series of wild strikes but Manavazyam uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Manavazyam is still on wobbly legs! Can Velttonen finish him?
Velttonen misses with a double jab.
Manavazyam seems to have recovered his senses.
Risto Velttonen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Velttonen ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Manavazyam's jaw. Manavazyam's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Velttonen does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Risto Velttonen!
