Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bob Burkam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sage Sirhan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sage Sirhan has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bob Burkam!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sage Sirhan!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Nard Betker and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sirhan tries for a takedown but Burkam sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Burkam shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Sirhan napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Sirhan on the wrong end of some ground and pound.

Burkam remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sirhan can do anything to dispel that myth.

Burkam connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Sirhan some visible discomfort.
You can see the frustration on Sirhan's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Sirhan goes for a double leg but Burkam avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Burkam continues to drive forward.

Sirhan turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Sirhan manages to end up in side control.

Sirhan is trying to control but Burkam passes into side control!
Burkam lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Burkam cracks Sirhan with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Sirhan tries to buck Burkam off but Burkam is having none of it.
Burkam lands some shots froms side control.
Sirhan tries to improve position but can't.
Sirhan is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Burkam off and has taken his back!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sirhan is trying to stick to Burkam's back but Burkam is turning into Sirhan. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Sirhan's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Burkam.
