The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stann pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Zane Stann seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Stann looks for a takedown but Matola sprawls well.
Stann shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Matola pinned against the cage. Matola gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Matola scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Matola stuffs the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Zane Stann . That's going to take a lot out of him.
Stann shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Matola as he jumps to the side.
Stann looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Matola scores with a jab to the body.
Stann is breathing heavily.
Matola slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

It looks like Zane Stann has been cut.
