Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Gordon Ferguson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Codey Fabinal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fabinal shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Fabinal was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Ferguson is looking for a sweep.

Fabinal seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ferguson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Fabinal connects with a nice short shot to Ferguson's temple.

Fabinal stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
The fight stays on the outside here - Ferguson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Fabinal closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Ferguson quickly recovers to half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
It looks like Fabinal is going to stand back up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

It looks like Gordon Ferguson has been cut.
