Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Eric Anders (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kostas Papadakis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Eric Anders has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Eric Anders!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kostas Papadakis!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Dirk Anderson and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Papadakis misses with a left hand
and Anders counters with a one-two to the body.
Sloppy strikes from Anders. Those never looked like landing.
No joy there for Anders, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Eric Anders seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Anders throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Papadakis stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Papadakis looks to throw the jab but Anders is out of range.
Papadakis misses with an uppercut.
Anders thuds his right hand into Papadakis's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Anders throws a right and a left that Papadakis avoids nicely.
Sloppy strikes from Anders. Those never looked like landing.
Anders throws a combination. Papadakis tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Anders throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Papadakis shoots in looking for a takedown. Anders tries to sprawl out of it but Papadakis keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Anders manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Anders misses with a series of wild punches.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Anders thows a body shot but no joy.
Anders just misses with a punch to the body.
Anders fails to land with a series of punches.
Anders connects with a good right hand that stumbles Papadakis. Papadakis circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Papadakis feints and as Anders raises his hands in defense, Papadakis changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Papadakis thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Anders is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Papadakis passes into half guard.
Papadakis takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Anders avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Papadakis.
Papadakis passes into side control, despite Anders's attempt to control the position.
The referee asks Papadakis politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Papadakis prefers to stall for the moment though.
Papadakis wants to control but Anders is keeping him busy.

Papadakis has an Americana. Anders didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Papadakis is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Papadakis hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Kostas Papadakis!
Kostas Papadakis gave a mention to Atlantis in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
Eric Anders spoke after the fight, saying 'I'm sorry to my fans that I disappointed today I'm going to train on my hands and come back more lethal than ever before'.
