Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sammie Shelton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alvin Demonyo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alvin Demonyo will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Demonyo closes the distance looking to clinch

Shelton could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

The fight stays on the outside here - Demonyo looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Shelton shoots in looking for a takedown but Demonyo manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Shelton's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Demonyo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Shelton has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Demonyo has managed to get both his arms back between Shelton's legs - danger averted.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Sammie Shelton.
